Abstract:

Collective Intelligence refers to the superiority of wisdom and power of groups compared to the sum of individuals. Foreign scholars have paid much attention to the topic and produced many highquality findings. This article firstly outlined the tortuous cognitive process in foreign studies on collective intelligence. Then typical viewpoints on collective intelligence were summarized. A bibliometric analysis showed that foreign studies were still in the growth stage and classified into five themes: value assessment, efficiency realization, quality assurance, technical support and practical application. The authors also summarize the main research characteristics, and put forward some enlightenment of domestic researches.
