Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］ This paper aims to identify the core concepts of "data use" and their relationships, clarify the consensus on data use in international standards, and guide the standardized collaboration of data use in China.［Design/Methodology］Based on ISO 704:2009 Terminology Work-Principles and Methods, text analysis was carried out on definitions of "data use" collected from the online international standardized terminology database. First of all, this paper identified the core concepts, properties and features, as well as scenarios of "data use". Then, the relationships of the core concepts were analyzed. Finally, this paper built a core conceptual system of "data use".［Findings/Conclusion］A six-dimensional core conceptual system of "data use" and its standardized collaborating approaches were proposed according to the international standards.［Originality/Value］Orienting to the national strategic demands of data-empowering and standard-empowering data use, this paper provides implications for  China to actively participate in the establishment of international standards for "data use", which has reference value for promoting the standardized utilization of data use in China and its convergence with international standards.
