Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Chinese librarianship has fully participated in the historical process of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Summarizing the Chinese libraries' historical contributions and basic experiences in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects can fully enhance cultural self-confidence and promote high-quality development. [Design/Methodology] By using the methods of literature research, practical research, induction and deduction, this article systematically combs the historical practices, contributions, and basic experiences of the Chinese libraries in the period of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. [Findings/Conclusion] In the process of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, Chinese libraries have formed an inclusive and balanced service system, accelerated the digital transformation of layout, bravely shouldered the historical responsibility and mission of public cultural services, and constructed a people-centered development model. The main contribution are as follows:（1）Serving the strategic decision-making of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects;（2）Promoting coordinated and sustainable development of economic and social;（3）Improving national quality and promoting social civilization;（4）Inheriting Chinese civilization and cultivating cultural self-confidence;（5）Help realize people’s yearning for a better life. In the process of developing a strong socialist culture in China, the development of librarianship should continue to face the major needs of the era, pay attention to the needs of people’s livelihood, highlight cultural connotations and stimulate innovative vitality. [Originality/Value] This study excavates the historical experience of Chinese library service in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, which will fully enhances the self-confidence of library development and provides a source of experience in building a country with a strong culture.
