关于图书情报硕士专业学位教育若干问题的思考

Thoughts of Some Issues on MLIS Education

摘要:

图书情报硕士专业学位(MLIS)教育是图书馆学情报学研究生教育的一种新的形式。作者参考了有关MLIS教育的系列调查,并结合从事MLIS研究生培养管理工作的实践,思考了MLIS教育的若干问题,主要有:MLIS教育与图书情报职业的对接问题、专业硕士与学术型硕士培养模式的区分问题、不同专业背景的MLIS研究生教学组织问题、联合培养机制建设问题、实践教学的过程管理问题。作者对如何解决这些问题提出了若干建议。

Abstract:

Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) is a new form for the graduate education of library science and information science. The author discusses several issues in MLIS education by referring to a series of surveys on MLIS education and combining his own practice in supervising related to MLIS graduates. The main topics include: the connection between MLIS education and professional career relate to library and information, the differentiation in training scheme between professional master degree and academic degree, the organization of MLIS graduates with various backgrounds, the mechanism of joint cultivation, and the process management of practice education. Several suggestions are proposed for the above topics.
