Abstract:

In the new era, the public’s demand for “onestop” access to public digital cultural resources is very strong. Change in information needs requires change in information supply. However, there is no project which integrates books, artifacts, archives and other public cultural resources in China. One important reason is that our country’s cultural heritages belong to cultural system and archival system, but the cooperation is absent between the highest level of government departments of the two systems——the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China(MCPRC) and the State Archives Administration of the People’s Republic of China(SAAPRC). This paper analyzes the necessity and realistic foundation of cooperation between them in the background of deepening cultural system reforming and building modern public cultural service system, presents the foreign culture management institutions which are crosssectoral and crosssystem. Finally, this paper puts forward the path for reference to promote the cooperation between MCPRC and SAAPRC.
