科研众包视角下公众科学项目的任务匹配模型研究

Investigating Task Fit Model in Citizen Science Projects: A Scientific Crowdsourcing Perspective

摘要:

随着科研众包理念的广泛传播,公众科学项目迅速崛起,推动了开放科学的新理念和新范式。本文基于科研众包视角,分析现有公众科学项目类型与任务特征,结合匹配理论,提炼出任务匹配四个要素主体:任务、技术、组织与个人。将四主体分别对应公众科学项目的任务、平台、发包方和接包方,从任务驱动的角度,构建出公众科学项目的任务匹配模型,并从任务与接包方匹配、任务与平台匹配和任务与发包方匹配三个维度进行解读。由于公众科学项目具有较强的情境依赖性,不同任务类型在不同匹配维度上有所差异。因此,文章将非涌现型、量变式涌现型和质变式涌现型三类公众科学项目进行对比分析,为公众科学项目的平台构建、任务设计和目标用户定位等提供理论参考。

Abstract:

With the wide spread of the concept of scientific crowdsourcing, citizen science projects have risen rapidly, which promote the new paradigm of open science. From the perspective of scientific crowdsourcing, this paper divides citizen science projects into three types, and tries to figure out their task characteristics. Based on the fit related theories, the paper focuses on the four elements of task fit, including task, technology, organization, and individual. The four elements can be mapped to the task, intermediation platform, assigner and provider in the citizen science context. Furthermore, this paper proposes a taskdriven fit model in citizen science projects from three dimensions, namely taskintermediation platform fit, taskprovider fit and taskassigner fit. Due to the strong situational dependence of citizen science projects, different types of projects may differ in three fit dimensions. Therefore, we compare three kinds of citizen science projects, namely nonemergent, emergent with the quantitative accumulation, and emergent with the qualitative accumulation, which will yield some theoretical contribution and practical implication for platform development, task design and participants selection in citizen science projects.
