美国高校LIS学科背景下信息分析人才培养模式研究

摘要: [目的/意义]信息分析在研究开发、科学决策、商业竞争等领域中发挥着越来越重要的作用,培养符合社会需求和信息化建设需要的信息分析人才,是我国高校LIS学科教育的重要工作之一。[研究设计/方法]以网络调研、资料分析和案例研究为主要研究方法,搜集分析美国LIS学科教育排名前列的10所高校所开展的信息分析人才培养项目的网页公开数据,并结合2017年美国图书馆与信息科学研究排名第一的伊利诺伊大学香槟分校作典型案例研究。[结论/发现] 美国高校LIS学科背景下信息分析人才培养在整体培养方式上呈现了多类型、多层次、互为补充的特点,培养前期尤其注重与培养对象在研究方向、能力要求和目标职业定位等方面的交互,以规范化的培养制度和富有特色的课程体系夯实培养过程,并形成了专业协会认证、第三方权威机构评估和学院自我评估三个层次的评估体系。[创新/价值]揭示美国高校LIS学科背景下信息分析人才的培养模式和办学经验,为我国高校图情教育领域信息分析人才培养提供参考。

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance]With the rapid development of information society, information analysis plays an increasingly important role in R&D, scientific decision-making, commercial competition and other fields. It is one of the main tasks for LIS education in Chinese universities to cultivate information analysis talents who can meet the requirements of the society and informatization construction. [Design/Methodology]Online investigation, literature analysis, and case study were used as the main research methods. This paper also collected and analyzed the online open data about the information analysis talent training programs of the top 10 US universities in the field of library and information science. Moreover, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was studied as a typical example.[Findings/Conclusion]Multi-type, multi-layer, and complementarity seem to be the characteristics of information analysis talents education in LIS in the US universities. The interaction is emphasized which is conducted with the trainees about research direction, ability requirements and professional orientation at the early stage of training programs. Moreover, standardized training system and characterized course system provide guarantee for the training process. Besides, a three-level evaluation system has been built upon professional committee certification, authorized institution evaluation and self-assessment of schools. [Originality/Value]The training mode and the education experience have been explored for information analysis talents in the field of library and information science in the US universities, which could provide reference for China.
