Abstract: Under the background of data science, an exploration of the new issues of data and information studies from the perspective of library, information and archives science was conducted, including data capability development targeting to the government decision-making service, infodemic and health informatics, tracking the dissemination of online scientific papers based on Altmetrics, users' profile driven by data and knowledge, and social media information archiving. It is a reflection of the new development and trends in data and information studies.
