Abstract:

HuBei province library has rich local literatures and the quantity of local record documents is among the top of our country. How to effectively develop and use these documents have been the hot issues of the community. Hubei local record fulltext database will be constructed in two phases for four years. It will be constructed by the advanced and mature technologies and has such characteristics as the original text to be reproduced, the version to be layout and restored, the version to be collated, crosslibrary access, character conversion, and rights management etc. When the item is finished, it will provide detailed data for researchers and also promote the culture of Hubei, then enhance the public service capacity and the level of local record service.
