Abstract:

Facing the current economic recession, libraries in the United States,Britain ect.,are under the threat of budget cutting,even cluser, opening hours reducing, layoffs. British and American Library also take action to save the library being in trouble. But use of libraries unprecedented increases in economic recession. It also provides opportunities for library development. Holding the opportunity,library should establish vision strategy, focuse on cooperation and sharing, develop voluntary service and pursue finer management ect. to respond to the current and even future of sustained economic recession. It can also provide some reference for domestic libraries.
