Abstract:

After reviewing the origin of activity theory，its basic model and core ideology, the paper analyzes the feasibility of library and information science research paradigm under the perspective of activity theory from weak points of Cognitive Science paradigm, including systemoriented and useroriented, existed theory and practical research fields. Finally, the basic thought and practical research framework to apply activity theory to user information behavior in library and information science are proposed.
