Abstract:

Choosing Xinhua Digest  as an example which inspect the social awareness of library science genre, that is conducive to the development of library science. In this paper, library science is divided into explain to send, the empirical sent, critical to send, school of humanities and so on. Among them, explain to send is divided into the research on Library science thought of Marxism, the contemporary era practice of Chinese library science, the history of Chinese library science, the research on the traditional library science thought, the contemporary era research on library science thought and theory and the western library science thought. By analyzing library science genre focused by Xinhua Digest, we have such a revelation that library science has a huge development space. Chinese library community should take an active part in the competitive subject research, strive for more voice in the subject of high social attention.
