“学心”与“公心”——论目录类序的学术品格

The Academic Heart and the Academic Fair Attitude——A Discussion about the Academic Character of Catalogue’s Preface

摘要：

前人认为“目录之书莫难于叙录，而小序则尤难之难者”，“非明于道术精微群言得失之故者，不足与此”。类序之难不仅要求其“学”必须精微，同时也要求其“心”务必公正。学界迄今极少专文分析类序的学理意义与学术特性。为了弥补这一学术遗憾，该文论析了目录学中类序的学术品格：“学心”与“公心”。围绕这一中心论旨，文章以《汉书·艺文志》、《隋书·经籍志》和《四库全书总目提要》中的类序为例，从宏阔的视野、精审的眼光、渊博的学识及公允的态度四个层面展开论述，认为在中国古代各种传统的述学文体中，类序尤其必须兼具这四者之长。

Abstract:

The paper discusses the academic character of literature category’s preface in bibliography, which is the academic heart and the fair attitude. Around the center point, the paper concentrates on the four aspects including the wide perspective, the accurate vision, the profound learning and the fair attitude. And we think that the literature category’s preface must have these four aspects especially among the various academic articles of the ancient China.
