Abstract:

Under the background of the "Double Tops" construction, construction of worldclass disciplines has been put great emphasis on, which is of great importance to the development of universities.Academic libraries also take the construction of worldclass disciplines as the core work and take measures to expand and deepen subject services in order to enhance subjects' position and influence.This paper took mathematics as an example and chose the high impact journals indexed by SCIE from 1997 to 2016 as research objects.By using visual analytical tools, we analyzed the high impact authors, spatialtemporal characteristics of development,the distribution of countries and institutions, the knowledge base and research frontier etc. Based on data analysis, the research hotspot and research direction of mathematics subject has been put forward, and it is hoped to provide reference for the construction of mathematics subject in  Chinese universities, as well as a new  method for the innovation ofsubject services.
