信息时代的“银发族” | 论坛式网络信息服务适老化困境与应对——以“银龄网”关停为例

The Predicament and Countermeasures of the Elderly-Oriented Online Community Information Services: Lessons from the Shutdown of “Yinling.com”

摘要: [目的/意义]旨在以国内大型老年在线社区“银龄网”关停事件为例,提炼论坛式网络信息服务适老化问题的相关要素,揭示论坛式网络信息服务适老化存在的困境,探索今后应对策略。[研究设计/方法]爬取老年在线社区“银龄网”管理员与用户关于在线社区关停公告的讨论内容,共计两篇主题贴及358条有效评论文本。采用内容分析法,从用户情感、用户需求、问题与挑战、应对措施四个方面对文本内容进行梳理归纳。[结论/发现] 论坛式网络信息服务适老化问题涉及服务的方式与内容、运营模式等多方面问题。其适老化的困境主要体现在坚持公益性与维持运营、落后的服务系统与不断增长的用户需求、吸引新用户与维护现有用户使用习惯三个方面的矛盾。需要从筹集运营资金、获取技术支持和加强用户研究三个方面加以应对。[创新/价值]探索了论坛式网络信息服务适老化过程中遭遇的困境与可行应对策略,为今后加速其适老化进程提供了理论依据和实践建议。

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance]Taking the shutdown of the "Yinling.com" as an example, which is a large-scale online community for the senior in China, this article aims to find the key factors of the development of elderly-oriented online community information services, reveal the existing challenges and problems, and explore the future countermeasures.[Design/Methodology]We collected the content of the online community shutdown announcements and discussions among the administrators and users from "Yinling.com". A total of two posts and 358 valid comment texts were retained as the corpus. Content analysis was used to summarize and organize the texts from four aspects: users’ emotions, users’ needs, problems and challenges, as well as countermeasures.[Findings/Conclusion]The elderly-oriented development of online community information services involves many aspects such as the method and content of service, and the operating mode. The predicament of the elderly-oriented development of them is mainly reflected in the contradictions of adherence to public welfare and running maintenance underdeveloped service systems and growth of users’ demands, attracting new users and maintaining the habits of current users. The aforementioned issues need to be responded in three aspects: raising operating funds, obtaining technical supports, and reinforcing the study of users.[Originality/Value]This paper explores the predicament encountered by “Yinling.com” and feasible countermeasures of elderly-oriented online community information services. It also provides theoretical basis and practical suggestions for their elderly-oriented development.
