Research on a Knowledge Flow Model based on Comparative Advantage Strategy

Abstract:

The knowledge sharing activities become more and more frequent. The small world phenomenon of knowledge flow has emerged in the evolution of knowledge network. A minority of knowledge agents, which have the advantage of external comparison, have evolved into the core center of knowledge network. The regional agglomeration of subject and knowledge has been produced. Focusing on the current issues of “balanced development trap” and “liquidity trap” existed in the knowledge networks are raised. The paper proposes that the key point of problem in real knowledge network is the Calculation of the cost of specialization development and knowledge flow costs. Theory of Endogenous Comparative Advantage in economics is introduced to build a Knowledge model of autonomous evolution based on comparative advantage strategy. By mean of a node importance measurement based on the degree and clustering coefficient information, we analyze of the impact of comparative advantage strategy on knowledge network, which provide a basis for quantitative analysis to optimize the knowledge network structure.
