Abstract: [Purpose/Significance]This paper aims to explore whether the behavior of stakeholders affects the application of Altmetrics indicators in research evaluation, and provide ideas for standardizing Altmetrics indicators.[Design/Methodology]Based on the mentioning data in twitter of the top 100 papers of Altmetric Attention Score (AAS) in 2019, this study analyzed the influence of stakeholders' tweet engagement and participation on the dissemination of paper.[Findings/Conclusion]It has been found that shortcomings exist in using the mentioning times as the only academic evaluation indicator. As being stakeholders, the tweeting behavior of authors and publishers has great impact on the value of Altmetrics indicators. Identifying, eliminating or weakening these behaviors and their impacts could help to standardize the Altmetrics indicators.[Originality/Value]It is pointed out that in the process of data collection and indicator calculation, we should strengthen the identification of stakeholders' behavior and its influencing effects.
