Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] This paper intends to review the current research distribution status of rural public digital cultural services at home and abroad in the past ten years, analyze the research themes, and summarize the research process and development trend. [Design/Methodology] Using the method of literature research and visualization, this paper revealed the authors' distribution, disciplines' distribution and the distribution of projects supported by National Social Science Fund, and analyzed five themes: service facilities, service resource construction, service equalization, service utilization and service project research. [Findings/Conclusion] A core group has been formed in this field, the research distribution is mainly based on library and information science and in collaboration with other disciplines. However, the number of projects addressing macro-level issues is insufficient and systematic results are lacking. The topics such as standardization, socialization and construction management of rural public digital cultural services, the construction of digital resources, and the role of rural production and life need to be further deepened. [Originality/Value] This work sorts out the progress of rural public digital cultural services at home and abroad from the aspects of research distribution and research themes, summarizes the research progress and future development direction, which provides a reference for further research.
