Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Information accessibility means that anyone can access, interact and use information equally, conveniently and safely. The realization of information accessibility is of great significance to the promotion of the equalization of public cultural services. The aim of this study is to reveal research evolution and prospects in the field of information accessibility. [Design/ Methodology] By combining Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory, we discussed the evolution of information accessibility in terms of physiological and safety needs, belongingness and love needs, and esteem and self-actualization needs. Then, we searched the relevant literature in the database of CNKI and the Web of Science from December 31,2012 to December 31,2022, used visual tools to analyze keywords co-occurrence frequency and discussed the research hotspots from the perspective of social developments, urban constructions, technical standards and application scenarios, and explored its future development directions. [Findings/Conclusion] The research finds that the current research frame of information accessibility has been preliminarily constructed, and the related research tends to be diversified. Although there are still some issues that have not been focused on, the realization of the idealized goal of information accessibility can still be accelerated by promoting the equalization of public cultural services driven by artificial intelligence, product supply and virtual forms and linked with humanistic spirit. [Originality/Value] Combining Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, this paper combs the evolution of information accessibility research, summarizes the research hotspots in the past decade, and looks forward to the development of information accessibility.
