Abstract:

The core task for specialized libraries in universities is to provide professional information services for readers, and subject service is a new and important service pattern for these libraries. Based on the development of subject services in some representative university law libraries in China and the United States, this paper introduced the present situation on the subject service and analyzed the existing differences in subject services between the two countries. The subject service advantages in the specialized libraries were explored and the innovation ways for developing subject service in university specialized libraries are proposed.
