International Scientific Data Sharing Policies and Regulations System: the Institutional Foundation of Linked Science

  

Abstract:

With the development of Linked Data and other technologies, the scientific research way is transforming from e-Science into Linked Science. Linked Science is an approach to interconnect scientific assets to enable transparent, reproducible and transdisciplinary research. One of the premises is the sharing of scientific resources and data. In order to promote the sharing of scientific data, international bodies of different levels, including international organizations and governments, research funding agencies and journals, research institutions ,formulated policies and regulations on scientific data sharing. Correspondingly, their policies and regulations respectively constitute the macro, meso and micro level of scientific data sharing policies and regulations system, which is the system foundation of Linked Science.
