A Comparative Study of the Structural Feature of the Journals based on the Relationship between Co-link and Co-citation

Abstract:

The paper collects co-link and co-citation data of 30 selected LIS journals and their websites by using Yahoo! and Web of Science. The QAP analysis, connectivity analysis, clustering analysis, multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis, block model analysis and coreperiphery analysis are used to analyze the structure of the journals based on the relationship between co-link and co-citation. Then we compare the similarities and differences of the structural feature between the two networks.
