Abstract:

With the fast development of academic blogs with real names such as ScienceNet in China, the difficulties of carrying research on cyber academic communities declined. In this paper, it makes a case study on academic bloggers of library and information science in ScienceNet to find out their blogging status. The paper reveals the composition of LIS bloggers and their knowledge exchange in the view of blog catalogue and professional groups to draw a picture of communication between LIS and related subjects from the perspective of Global Chinese scientific community. In the end, the paper gives some suggestions to solve the problems found in the study.
