Abstract:
In the era of big data, the traditional “Urban Memory Project (1.0)” led by archive administration has been unable to meet the needs of civic and social organizations for social memory information in intelligent decisionmaking. In this paper, take “Smarter City” construction as background, the conception of “Urban Memory Project 2.0” which intends to provide basic data for social memory correlative analysis is proposed, its connotation and characteristics are discussed. Then, in accordance with the theory of parallel management, the system framework of “Urban Memory Project 2.0” is built. Furthermore, combined with the practice, some implementation strategies of “Urban Memory Project 2.0” are suggested. It is argued in this paper that the collection and integration of city's overall status and historical data is the foundation for building smart city, should promoted gradually by sharing mechanism and broad participation under the guidance of archive administration agencies. The conclusions of this paper are significant to upgrade of traditional “Urban Memory Project” as well as “Smarter City” construction.
