Abstract:

Based on a group of documents related to library regulations and strategies, provincial libraries websites, web and literature search results of library services for older adults from 2002 to 2011, the paper applies content analysis method to deeply analyze the status quo of library services for older adults in the following field: institutional guarantee, collection development, equipment supplement, arrangement of building, service system and various service activities. It shows that although we have made some progress in senior service, there still exists many problems。To promote library service for older adults, definite service orientation and user orientation are needed.
