Abstract:

This article regards 535 source journals of CSSCI as the object of study, and studies open access status of humanities and social scientific journals comprehensively and systematically. The scope of survey includes (1) whether the source journals have independent websites or not, (2)whether the full texts of journals can be read or downloaded freely in the websites or not, and (3)the open access type of journals. By investigation, the article reaches the results of open access of 535 source journals. A detailed statistical analysis about 73 open access journals were also carried out. At last the article makes recommendations about how to promote open access of humanities and social scientific journals.
