Abstract:

Employment is the overriding way o realize ruraltourban mobility for the new generation of migrant workers, Reliable employment information is the premise for finding a job. By employing field study in two villages in southern Anhui province, we discovered the ways which were used by new generation of migrant workers to get dependable information for finding jobs. The analysis is conducted from the view of social network and social capital. Villages are regarded as the very beginning of the process of seeking dependable employment information. Finally we analysed bonding social capital available for migrant workers and their families in their information seeking processes case by case.
