Abstract:

During development of market economy in China about more than 20 years , great changes in library have taken place in the internal and external environment, it is necessary combing and analysis role of government under the condition of market economy in development of library. Based on development environment of library,this paper summarized the research achievements of predecessors,and make some research in the three important aspects ,they are the public relations and coordination function, encouraging innovation organizational structure and service mode and coordinating role of the government, industry associations and library,it is concluded that government that is the main body of development and macro body of management in the development of library is required separation of management and implementing ,to fully release the vitality of library development by advantages of the market and social organizations.
