Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] This paper aims to analyze the achievements and the main viewpoints of open science research at home and abroad, which is beneficial to promote the research of open science in China. [Design/Methodology] Using bibliometric analysis method, taking the open science subject literature from Web of Science and CNKI as object, we analyze the main research viewpoints of the open science theme at home and abroad based on keyword clustering and text analysis. [Findings/Conclusion] We find that the current research of open science at home and abroad is in a period of development. Some issues have been extensively discussed in the existing achievements, such as the definition, basic concepts, categories, advantages, historical evolutions, development motivations, obstacles, challenges and routes, goals, characteristics and tools, policies and practices of open science. However, there is a lack of systematic research on domestic open science policies, practice surveys, development models, implementation paths, and evaluation. [Originality/Value] This study clarifies the research achievements, shortcomings and future research directions, though exploring and analyzing the viewpoints of open science research results.
