国外iSchools图书情报与档案管理研究生学位项目特征分析

Characteristics of Graduate Degree Programs of Library, Information and Archives Management in iSchools Abroad

摘要:

在高等教育变革和“双一流”建设背景下,对国外iSchools图书情报与档案管理研究生学位项目建设情况进行调查与分析,能为我国推进一流学科建设,提升信息管理领域高层次人才培养质量提供参考。本研究以网站调查为主,选取美、英、加、澳四国的33所iSchools作为调查对象,从项目基本情况、项目类别、培养方向3方面对其研究生学位项目进行分析。研究发现,国外iSchools图书情报与档案管理研究生学位项目呈现以下特点:项目设置体现信息时代发展和人才需求特点、跨学科特性更加明显、培养方向逐渐细化、培养模式多样化。我国图书情报与档案管理研究生培养应在以下方面加以改进:①调整专业结构,兼顾信息前沿与传统学科特色;②加强跨学科交流,培养复合型人才;③以职业发展为导向,细化专业培养方向;④优化培养模式,提供多样化和个性化选择。

Abstract:

Under the background of higher education reform and the construction of "dual firstclass", a comprehensive investigation and analysis of graduate degree programs of Library, Information and Archives Management in iSchools abroad can provide beneficial inspiration for improving the cultivation mode of highlevel talents in the field of information management. In this study, 33 iSchools from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia were selected as samples, and the graduate degree programs were studied from the basic information of programs, program types, and cultivation directions. This research indicates that graduate degree programs of Library, Information and Archives Management in iSchools abroad show the following characteristics: the programs embody the characteristics of information development and demand for talents, the interdisciplinary nature is more obvious, the program directions are becoming more and more specified, and the cultivation modes present great diversity. Accordingly, the graduate education of Library, Information and Archives Management in China should adjust the major structure with the integration of both information frontiers and traditional disciplinary features, strengthen crossdisciplinary cooperation to cultivate compound talents, specify the cultivation directions according to career development orientation, and optimize the cultivation modes so as to provide diversified and personalized choices.
