Abstract:

The paper started by analyzing the influence of online science era on knowledge service of digital libraries,and demonstrated digital library users’ new demands,which are requiring related resource set,individualized service combining crowdsourced intelligence and scientific products reflecting social network relationship.It is argued that digital libraries shall obey new principles,which are providing academic social network service,knowledge service based on big data and filter mechanism based on crowdsourced intelligence.After analyzing the position of digital library in the altmetrics ecosystem,the novel knowledge service pattern of digital libraries was proposed,which will enhance knowledge service capability from both user retrieval and individualized recommendation.In the end,compared to traditional knowledge service pattern of digital libraries,it is found that the novel knowledge service pattern has attributes of activeness,dynamics,network and transforming to knowledge communicator,which reflect better the meaning of digital library.
