Abstract:

With the deepening scientific communication model reform and development of open access , an increasing number of researchers choose to combine both “online” and “offline” modes to carry out scientific research and to obtain, spread and share academic resources . Altmetrics has injected a new impetus and nutrient for academic ecosystem with a new perspective, and its academic status has been continuously improved, and value extended. In order to further develop Altmetrics, understand its potential and its academic dilemma, this paper by means of literature research and content analysis, sorts out the research process of Altmetrics from different angles . The research shows that the problems are mainly about data quality, index optimization and specification, use of social media and strong commercial nature in Altmetrics .The future development trend includes six aspects: standard specification establishment, optimizing intelligent tools, user behavior analysis, influence difference research, expansion and innovation, and multidimensional information measurement evaluation model of academic achievements.
