The Art and Development Tendency of Competitive Intelligence Based on Online and Public Opinion Monitoring——A Review of the International Conference on Competitive Intelligence(2012)

  

Abstract:

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the era of big data has come quietly and put a huge impact on the traditional competitive intelligence(CI) industry. In order to probe into new CI research progress in the context of the development of the Internet, Peking University and Beijing Academy of Science and Technology cohosted the International Conference of Competitive Intelligence (ICCI 2012). In this article: firstly, it summarizes and analyzes the representative papers and speeches made by the participating experts; secondly, it elaborates on the innovation of CI research owing to the popularity and application of the Internet social media, and the expansion of CI methods, applications, and case studies brought about by the development of Internet technology; lastly, it discussed CI solutions based on a new perspective of developing and applying software systems.
