Abstract:

There is a new request for the education of information management and information system in the age of Internet, which shows the importance of UCD (Usercentered Design) skill. By using the literature research and questionnaire survey,this paper bases on the essentials of UCD and studies the practical application of UCD in social label, website design and software development; and explores the UCD courses setting up in foreign countries, the fusion of UCD courses and information architecture or user experience courses; and investigates the domestic students majored in information management and information system about the UCD learning and perceived usefulness. It points out that the UCD education is the weakness of this major and thus puts forward the thinking about the professional reform of information management and information system specialty based on the theory of UCD.
