Abstract:
The continuous use is the key to give full play to academic databases. However, there are relatively few studies onimpact factors of academic database usage intention of university student users. This paperbuildsatheoretical model for university students’ use of academic databases based on the information system success model, as well as the theories of selfefficacy, perceived playfulness and habit. This paper also collects data and verify the research hypotheses byquestionnaire survey and structural equation model in order to reveal the impact factors and mechanism of university students’ use. This study finds out that the theoretical model can effectively reveal the impact factors ofuniversity students’ intention to use academic databases. However, the three research hypotheses haven’t been verified, including the relationship between service quality and perceived ease of use, as well as perceived usefulness, and the relationship between perceived ease of use and behavior intention. Based on the results, this paper puts forward five suggestions for database manufacturers.
