Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Compared with the study of the history of China's bibliography, the academic community paid little attention on the history of the historical study of Chinese bibliography. The study aims to give some advices for the research and the writing on Chinese bibliography history in the future by reviewing the study history of China's bibliography history since 20th century. [Design/Methodology] Taking 7 general historical works of China's bibliography history published since the 20th century as object, which are as follows: Yao Mingda's History of China's Bibliography, Wang Zhongmin's Serial Works on China's Bibliography History, Lyu Shaoyu's Draft History of China's Bibliography, Ni Shiyi's History of Ancient China's Bibliography, Qiao Haoqin's History of China's Bibliography, Yu Qingrong's History of China's Bibliographic Thought, and Ke Ping's History of China's Bibliography, through systematic study, analysis and comparison, this paper sorts out the writing path of Chinese bibliography history in the 20th century. [Findings/Conclusion] This article summarizes the following characteristics emerged in the study history of China's bibliography history since 20th century:（1）scholars from the fields of history as well as the library science are the two majors who interested in the China's bibliography history study;（2）the linear evolutionary view of history has gradually become the mainstream historical view in writing the China's bibliography history;（3）the focus of writing has changed from "bibliography-centered" to "bibliography as well as bibliography maker". [Originality/Value] The article proposes an outlook for the future writing of China's bibliography history:（1）to clarify the meaning of "history of bibliography";（2）to clarify that when interpret China's bibliography history whether use the west opinions or use China's traditional opinions;（3）to clarify that the focus of China's bibliography history is the person who make the bibliographies; and（4）trying different writing styles.
