Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] As a methodology widely used in other disciplines and in Library and Information Science（LIS）abroad, systematic review methodology requires comprehensive examination of its application and development within library and information studies.This will not only enrich and enhance the understanding of the methodology, but also provide valuable enlightenment and references for conducting systematic literature review with scientific rigor in subsequent research. [Design/Methodology] This paper summarized the introduction, evolution, and core connotation of the systematic review methodology, with a particular emphasis on the research procedures, framework guidelines and reporting items applicable to systematic reviews in the field of LIS. [Findings/Conclusion] In China,there is a lack of in-depth and systematic studies on the systematic review methodology within the field of LIS, and there is insufficient analysis and improvement of this methodology. [Originality/Value] This article establishes a unified and standardized systematic review research process to provide scholars with a scientifically standardized operational path for the systematic review method applicable to different research topic, with the expectation of facilitating the widespread application of the system review method in library and information research.
