Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Providing users with an immersive experience is the direction and goal of the construction of digital experience zones in public libraries, and understanding and optimizing this immersive experience is a crucial path to improve the construction of digital experience zones, thereby promoting the high-quality development of public libraries. [Design/Methodology] Based on flow theory, user experience theory, and the characteristics of digital experience zones, a framework for immersive experience analysis was established, which encompassed immersive wrapping, interaction, narrativity, and balance. Using a user experience map, the user test was conducted to evaluate the immersive experience in the digital experience zones of public libraries. [Findings/Conclusion] The overall effectiveness of the immersive experience in the digital experience zones of public libraries is generally mediocre, with mediocre performance in interaction, narrativity, and immersive wrapping, and poor balance. The main factors contributing to the unsatisfactory experience are unreasonable spatial planning, inaccessible digital devices, and incomplete experience projects. [Originality/Value] This paper establishes an analytical framework suitable for immersive experiences of digital experience zones in public libraries, which can provide a reference for enhancing the immersive experience effects of three practical models of "new digital reading experience" "digital reading + physical reading experience" and "entertainment experience" in digital experience zones, thereby supports the practical construction of digital experience zones in public libraries.
