Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, there is an increasingly fierce competition among the international community for discourse power. Examining the factors influencing China's discourse power in artificial intelligence and discovering the pathway to enhance it will help China focus its efforts precisely and strive for discourse power that commensurate with national strength. [Design/Methodology] On the basis of discourse power theory and related research, this paper extracts three main dimensions of academia, industry, and regulation to summarize a variable system for measuring the discourse power in artificial intelligence. By using a combination method of TOPSIS and set pair analysis, as well as entropy weight method and equal weight method, we quantify the discourse power of artificial intelligence in different countries. By horizontally comparing the influence of different calculation methods and variable weights on the measurement results of discourse power, we identify China's current status and the ideal pathway for enhancing discourse power in the field of artificial intelligence. [Findings/Conclusion] China still has room for improvement in academic discourse power of artificial intelligence, but it holds a significant advantage in industrial discourse power. The regulatory discourse power is a crucial area for exertion. [Originality/Value] Drawing on the idea of evaluative intelligence analysis, this paper constructs a framework for quantitative discourse power analysis in the field of artificial intelligence. It examines the factors that affect the discourse power in artificial intelligence by comparing the differences in results from various measurement methods, with the aim of providing guidance for the layout of research and practices in artificial intelligence in China.
