Abstract:

This paper digitalization of ancient books is a precondition for the research ,explores the difficulty in digitization of Chinese ancient books, discusses the necessity of international cooperation on digitization of ancient books. The fact that foreign countries have the demand of international cooperation on ancient books confirmed the feasibility of the international cooperation. This paper makes two suggestions on international cooperation about the ancient books digitization on the basis of analysis of the existing international cooperation project: the Chinese ancient international communication platform should be created; a strategic cooperative partnership needs to be established. The originality and value of this paper lies in: it provides a new perspective to observe the meaning of international cooperation on Chinese ancient books digitization , and puts forward the feasible suggestion for future international cooperation.
