Initiative Construct of Modern Bibliographic Classification for Chinese Knowledge Concept and Knowledge Structure

Abstract:

The evolution of Chinese Modern bibliographic classification system is not only the transformation of taxonomy, but also the remodeling of knowledge concept and knowledge structure. Bibliography promotes our overall cognition of Western knowledge system and changes the definition of Chinese and Western academic relation. More importantly, the westernization of bibliographic classification also re-sort the relationship between literature and knowledge since the “Imitation Dewey Decimal Classification” in 1917 and complete the modernize recombination of traditional knowledge system in accordance with the principle of the Western Division scholarship, and thus also misread the nature of traditional knowledge by the forms of “discuss Chinese according to Western” and “use today’s view to misunderstand ancient vocabulary”.In short, modern bibliographic classification have a clear scale of self-culture choice and affect our understanding to knowledge concept and knowledge structure by bibliographic own ways, such as category design, classification standards bibliographic, showing the bibliographic initiative features. The “New” knowledge concept and knowledge structure which are obtained by Chinese from modern times are constructed with bibliographic largely.
