Abstract:

Based on the research of social epistemology and demand theory, this paper studies the disciplines theory cross and considers that it is a research topic about information science and epistemology theory and should be studied under social environment. The demand is the fundamental driving force to promote the research of disciplines theory cross. This paper also discusses the important factors of disciplines theory cross,including the degree of society openness, the progress of information construction, open access of information resources, the form of knowledge communication, the evaluation and consensus of scientists in the field, the position of knowledge in the demand domain, and the demand promotion to knowledge production,etc.
