Abstract:
With the development and changes in the network environment, the microblog information obsolescence research is of great significance. This paper analyzes the information published by the universities’ official microblog on the platform of Sina microblog and studies the information obsolescence differences between the retweeting half-life and remarking half-life by using the methods of content analysis and SPSS test from the perspective of halflife. Firstly, the paper compares the differences between the retweeting halflife and remarking halflife, and then, it explores the factors that influence information obsolescence. It is proved that like number, retweeting number, and remarking number have relationships with the retweeting and remarking half-life, and that different types of microblog content, originality and the method of reposting are significantly affecting the microblog half-life.
