Review of Research on Academic Information Seeking Behavior from the Affective Perspective

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Based on the literature of academic information seeking behavior from the affective perspective, this paper aimed to provide reference for further research by summarizing the research framework. [Design/Methodology] It conducted  literature review and analyzed from three aspects: the affect during the academic information seeking, the impact factors of affect, and the effects of affect on academic information seeking behavior. [Findings/Conclusion] The existing research covers the discussion of the emotion features of different academic information seeking process and their relationship with seeking behavior. In addition, the research on richer academic scenes, the conditions and mechanism of two-way function of emotion, and the prediction and application of emotionwill be future focus.[Originality/Value] The study summarized a research framework to academic information seeking behavior from the perspective of affect, which could further strengthen the research on information seeking behavior.
