Abstract:

Library Science Quarterly  is one of three library science periodicals in Republic of China, which was published by the Chinese Library Association. It is clear from its’ aim and opening statement that the quarterly has an ambition to found “Chinese Library Science” by borrowing from the successful experience of western modern library science,and deep studying Chinese traditional documentation and bibliography. The placement in the quarterly is exhibiting characteristics typical of the Republic of China, which is organized by the content and style. The quarterly ranged from library science, library development, public education, bibliography, and so on. The papers themes focus on library science and bibliography, and the number of each quarterly fluctuates according to the state. The quarterly is the main embodiment of trend and practice of the library science researches in Republic of China for the inclusive vision and pragmatic attitude.
