Abstract:
Using the network survey and literature survey to collect data, this paper selects 7 public libraries in Taiwan which provide digital visually impaired resources services to investigate. From three aspects which are types of resources, service mode and content, website, it reveals the condition of digital visually impaired resource services of public libraries in Taiwan. Finally this paper gains the conclusions: Taiwan’s public libraries need to strengthen the construction of digital visually impaired library resources, establish a diversified visually impaired resource system; to increase the visually impaired resource service mode and content, expand the range of services for the digital visually impaired resources; to create the co-construction and sharing consortium of visually impaired resource for the complementary advantages; to improve the digital visually impaired resource service platform, speeding up the digital process of visually impaired resources. Furthermore, it hopes that providing reference for the digital visually impaired resources services of public libraries in mainland.
