Abstract:

The backgrounds of the purchase library public services by government include four facets, which are the limitation of tradition library services, the cause of social forces setting up or helping setting up the library, the reform of public services, the promoting of the government policies. Then combs evolving practices simply that domestic and international government purchases library public services from social forces, and finally the paper puts forward some countermeasures, which are to strengthen the role of government management in public services of libraries, to ensure the sustainable development of public service functions of libraries, and to enhance the management on the purchases.
