摘要：
伴随着机构知识库被越来越多的机构所认可和使用，资源建设问题已成为其发展的瓶颈所在。从资源收录量与全文获取率、资源收录类型、资源质量、资源组织和浏览方式、资源建设标准和规范五方面对中美两国机构知识库资源建设的现状进行对比，发现中美两国机构知识库资源建设中存在的问题具有众多相似性，进而分析了两国共同存在的资源质量参差不齐、建设标准规范不完善、共建共享方式缺乏等问题。

Abstract:
Institutional repository has been widely recognized and used in recent years, and the content construction already becomes a bottleneck for the development. Through comparing with the present situation of the institutional repositories’ content construction in the terms of the resources included and the rate of full texts, the type of resources ,the quality level of resources, the method for organization and the resource construction standard, the study expounds the similarities between the problems of institutional repositories in China and the USA, such as the uneven quality of resource, the faulty construction standards and the lack of sharing.
