Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］During the implementation of the “One Belt and One Road” strategy, navigation analysis for patent intelligence could make technological innovation play a better leading role. ［Design/Methodology］Based on the information about PCT patents indexed by Patentscope, this paper sort out the bilateral and multilateral patent collaboration relationships of countries located along the “One Belt and One Road” region from the dimensions of time and space. This research especially compared patent collaboration features of China and the USA respectively with those countries. With deleting node method, social network analysis and gray correlation analysis, competitiveness and influence of the two countries in technological collaboration communities have been examined. ［Findings/Conclusion］The “One Belt and One Road” strategy has prominently promoted patent collaboration among the countries along the region, and there is still much left to be improved. There is a gap between China and American, including the number and the technological influence in the cooperation with the countries located along the “One Belt and One Road” region. And the collaborating areas also have obvious differences. Both China and the USA make developed countries as their main collaborating partners, but ignore the emerging countries. ［Originality/Value］This paper could enrich the research on patent collaboration for the “One Belt and One Road”, and provide reference of optimizing technological cooperation for China with the countries involved in the region practically.
