Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］The empowerment of digital intelligence has bought a new growth point for interdisciplinary integration and development of various disciplines and fields. Library and information science is a research, teaching and application field, which studies knowledge exchange of multiple fields and provides digital academic supportive environment through knowledge organization methodology and technology. This study aims to study how it could make possible contribution to interdisciplinary integration in digital humanities as well as obtain new achievements.［Design/Methodology］By investigating the current status, problems and interdisciplinary integration trend of Historical Geography Informatization (HGI) with literature research and expert interview, this paper analyzed the application of metadata, ontology, linked data and knowledge graph as knowledge organization methods and technologies in solving the problems of HGI from the two dimensions,i.e.knowledge organization of historical geography materials and contents.［Findings/Conclusion］The methods and technologies of knowledge organization in digital intelligence era can provide a solution for the knowledge organization of historical materials and contents in HGI, which also provides a method and reference for the co-construction, sharing and long-term preservation of database for special topic research.［Originality/Value］Library and information science can participate in the interdisciplinary integration of humanities according to four paradigms: providing infrastructure for the long-term preservation of digital resources and research data, providing method reference for developing standards and specifications of historical data and materials digitization, providing high-level interoperability framework for cross-domain knowledge consilience, and providing data middle platform services for the co-construction and sharing of digital resources and research data.
